iEyes update

Quite a bunch of time ago, I quickly developed a “so-so clone” of the XWindows based application xeyes. The only purpose of the application was to fool with transparent windows in Cocoa. I made it available for download and I recently update it. You can get it here:

iEyes 1.1.1 Disk Image 62 kB

System requirements:

  • Intel or PowerPC Macintosh
  • Mac OS X v 10.5 and above

Why updating iEyes ?

Besides the fact it was not universal binary, I decided to spend some time updating as it was a perfect example for a small tutorial I will post here about introspection in Objective-C and how a dynamic language capable of reflection coupled with some coding conventions can make a piece of code. Stay tuned ;-)

Is it possible to scale the size of the eyes ?

If not it would be a great feature for further releases =)

Best regards
